Here is is. My week 1 submission for the Dogwood Photography Challenge. The category was Story Telling: Self-Portrait. Basically, we had to do a portrait that doesn’t show our face, but does tell something about who we are. Some folks obscured their face in some way. Others did more of an environmental portrait. I chose that route. Here’s a little bit about me, in one shot.
Hi, as you read the other day, I am partaking in the Dogwood Photograph 52 Week Photography Challenge. The first week’s challenge involves a self-portrait that tells a story about you without showing your face. Seeing as photography is an art, I decided to take my own interpretation of the week’s category. With that being said, my idea was to shoot an environmental portrait that doesn’t feature me directly.
I decided to show my world, so to speak. Where I live, work, hangout. Stuff like that. So, here is what I’ve got so far. One of these might be what I go with for the challenge. I still might find something else. Feel free to let me know what you think.
We took some photos at the Mit Liebe Family Pet Expo this past weekend. Congrats to Mit Liebe on 20 years of finding homes for German Shepherds. I know there’s a four legged boy sitting on the couch next to me that very much appreciates everything you do.
We had to switch things up midway through the day due to some technical difficulties. Thanks for your donations to Mit Liebe. Here is the full album: Mit Liebe Pet Expo Photos.
Here’s a few to look at now.
It is that time of year in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The green and gold clothing comes out of storage. The kids are getting up early to drive to the stadium with their bikes. Thousands gather at Ray Nitschke Field. Yep, it is Green Bay Packers training camp.
I had the honor and privilege to be there for the first two days with my camera in hand. Here are a whole bunch of my favorites that I shot on both days. You’ll see your favorite Packers such as Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews, Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, Dvante Adams, and many more. Let me know what you think.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of taking photos for a phenomenal fundraiser that benefited the Mit Liebe German Shepherd Rescue located here in the greater Green Bay area. We had around 40+ pups come on through to meet with Santa Claus. It was a wonderful time. Below are some of my favorites.
For those of you who came through for photos, here is the online album of images. They aren’t all uploaded as of this post, but will be there by end of day today (Tuesday). You can feel free to download and print as you wish. You have full reproduction rights! Merry Christmas!
